West Yorkshire Police have now made a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward following the tragedy on the M606 in Bradford last week. Three men - Sohali Ali, 28, Simon McHugh, 49, and Kyden Leadbeater, 18 - died at the scene

It happened on June 13, at around 10.45pm and followed a police chase. The force were called to the motorway scene after being told a van, which was reportedly stolen, had driven the wrong way down the motorway in Bradford.

The van crashed head-on with a taxi near the Chain Bar roundabout. The motorway was closed while accident investigations and an IOPC was launched.

Simon, 49, was the head chef at Bradford's Jurys Inn and was travelling home to Lindley in the taxi at the time of the crash. Sohail Ali, 28, was driving the taxi when it was hit head-on by the Ford Transit van.

The third victim to be named was 18-year-old Kyden Leadbeater. Kyden was a passenger in the van during the time of the collision. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition and died soon after.

Tributes have poured in for all three of the victims and the incident has shaken up the community of Bradford. Police are continuing their investigation and are now asking for witnesses, who may have been driving on the motorway during that time, to come forward if they saw a Ford Transvit van.

The force are keen to get any video footage - dash cam or from social media - to aid the investigation.

Detective Inspector Paul Conroy of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said: "This is a very tragic incident where three people have lost their lives, our thoughts are with their families at this time.
