Proposal to convert shop into micropub

North Tyneside Council has received an application to transform the former zero-waste food shop, 'All Good in the Hood', on 23 Cauldwell Lane, Monkseaton, into a small taproom

In addition, the applicants will offer the establishment, if approved, the earlier hours of trade to businesses to use for meetings.

Documents submitted to the local authority state that the proposition will have forty to fifty covers for patrons and create local job opportunities. The applied-for licensed hours are from 4pm to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.

According to the development proposal: "We again just want to make a strong go at this and better ourselves and invest into the area and its community, which we already have done with our current establishment and help the area and generate more revenue to the area."
