Annual General Meeting and Annual Dinner
This year’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, 26th April
at
The County Hall, London,
S.E.1,
and will
be
preceded by a
talk
by
iMr.C.A.French, Chairman
of
the Institute’s Executive Council, on
Nafionalizyd Industry and Local Authority
:
some reflections
on
their administration.
‘The meeting will
be
followed by the Members’ Annual Dinner at which the
Guest
of
Honour will be Sir Roger Makins, Chairman
of
the United
Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. Lord Bridges, the Institute’s President,
will preside.

Reading Coderen
ce
The
Stlldy
and Teaching
of
Public Administration
was the subject
of
a two-day
conference held at the University of Reading in December last year, and
organized by the Institute in collaboration with the Local Government
Examinations Board and the Public Administration Committee of the
.Joint Universities Council for Social and Public Administration. The aim
of
the Conference was to consider ways to improve the standards of training
of
public servants and to promote greater co-operation between the public
services and the universities.
