The third edition of a book on the laws of evidence which draws on an
extensive use of cases to enhance the text, most of which are English
decisions, but American, Australian, Scots and other material have also
been included where considered relevant.
The contents are intended for use in all university and polytechnic
courses on the law of evidence and in preparing for professional
examinations, for which purpose a set of questions, a detailed summary
and suggestions for further reading appear regularly throughout the book
in support of each particular aspect.
Significant changes have had to be made since the last edition to
incorporate such statutes as the Police &Criminal Evidence Act, 1984,
whilst the relevant provisions of the new Criminal Justice Act, 1991, are
also included.
With such a wealth of case law,so skilfully woven into the informative
text, this must be regarded as a first class aid to all hoping to qualify for
entry into the legal world.
