This
text-book on Criminal Procedure is a
reprint
of Parts IV
and
V of Harris
&Wilshere's Criminal Law,
the
18th edition of which has
just
been published.
It
deals with the procedure
upon
prosecution for indictable offences,
and
summary
jurisdiction,
and
if
the
many
changes
wrought
by recent legislation have
not
all
been
noted,
that
is only a slight criticism of
what
is essentially a very fine work.
It
is of
interest to police officers since it is concerned wholly with criminal law,
and
sections
on warrants, powers of search and evidence are particularly noteworthy.
It
is only
half the price
01
the
parent
volume
and
is remarkably good value as a book on
that
most
important
subject, procedure.
