RFL boosted by £1m profit

The governing body's latest accounts, which run to December 31, 2021, show they made a surplus of £1,008,000

It is the first time they have registered a profit since 2016, and the RFL say it has been achieved through 'effective forecasting, rigorous cost and financial management and a reshaping of the organisation and its cost base'.

The upcoming relocation to the Etihad Campus in Manchester also enabled the RFL to sell its Red Hall offices for £380,000, which contributed to the figures.
