Human movement company Scientific Analytics Inc reported on Wednesday the receipt of the US FDA's 510K medical device designation for its computer-vision-powered motion health analysis technology, DARI Health.
According to the company, its markerless DARI Motion computer vision and biomechanical analysis technology has been refined by more than 425bn data points of human motion gathered across applications in wellness, military, elite athletics and healthcare. It helps people and organisations to improve performance, avoid injury and reduce unnecessary costs.
Scientific Analytics has also formed a strategic collaboration with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), the world's largest academic musculoskeletal health company.
