pasch. 9 jacobi regis. shallocks case. Upon a diem clauait extremurn awarded, it is found by office, 26 Septemb. 32 Eliz. after the death of Anthony Shallock, quod prtedictus Anthonius Shallock in praidicto brevi nominatus fuit sesitus in dominico suo ut in feodo de & in tribus messuagiis, &c. & sic de omnibus, &c. sesitus existens de eisdem omnibus suam declaravit ultimam voluntatem in scripto, cujus datum est 20 Aprilis, ultimo prueterito, prout sequitur in h£ec verba. item, I give, &c. And after the jury found several tenures in socage of common persons, and no lands holden of the King; then the jury finde further, et insuperdicunt juratores pnedicti super sacramentum suura, quod prsedictus Anthonius Shallock in prsedicto brevi nominatus obiit circa 23 diem Aprilis ultimo prseteritam : and that Thomas Shallock is his son and next heir, and h'ncle all the other points of the wrib certainly : afterwards 5 Jacobi, a writ of mandamus is awarded after the death of the said Anthony, whereby part of the said lands are found to be held, at the time of the death of the said Anthony Shallock, of the late Queen Elizabeth in capite by knights-service, and at the time of the taking of the said last inquisition were holden of the Kings Majesty in chief by knights-service, and an ignoramus found of the rest.
