Sopra Steria to Acquire 25% Stake in Shared Services Connected for GBP 82.3m.

French technology provider Sopra Steria (Paris: SOP) will acquire a 25% stake in UK-based business support services provider Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL), a joint venture founded by Sopra Steria and the Cabinet Office, for GBP 82.3m (USD 100m) in cash, the company said.

SSCL will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sopra Steria.

Since Sopra Steria founded the company with the Cabinet Office in 2013, SSCL has become the largest provider of critical business support services for the UK government, Ministry of Defence, Metropolitan Police Service, and the Construction Industry Training Board, delivering shared services at scale.
