US-based specialty materials manufacturer Vertellus has acquired US-based specialty ingredients and nature-based products manufacturer Jarchem Innovative Ingredients, the company said.

With this acquisition, Vertellus expands its offering of environmentally friendly ingredients and serves a growing global base of customers in high-growth Specialty, Personal, Home and Health Care markets.

Jarchem has a portfolio of proprietary, nature-based products that are increasingly popular as consumers demand all-natural alternatives.

Based in Newark, New Jersey, the company offers a range of alternatives for traditional esters, silicones and other products commonly used in personal care, food and specialty industrial markets, providing cleaner, greener formulations for its customers.

Jarchem brings to Vertellus an expanded global base of long-standing customers and a long-tenured management team with substantial technical expertise.

Indianapolis-based Vertellus is owned by Pritzker Private Capital and management. Balmoral Advisors represented Jarchem on the transaction.
