Spirent Introduces Software-based Version of DU Testing to Support CI/CD/CT Pipeline Integration.

US-based Spirent Communications plc (LSE: SPT), providing automated test and assurance solutions for networks, cybersecurity, and positioning, has introduced a software-based version of its O-DU wraparound test solution that is scalable to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines, the company said.
The new solution stress-tests O-DU functionality and performance to help customers accelerate validation and enable faster deployment of O-RAN networks and technology.
A single distributed unit must manage many radio units and hundreds of end user devices.
