ORIENTEERING SOLWAY ORIENTEERING CLUB December always starts with Barhill's Pits n Bumps event where runners are given a length of time to visit a designated area of Barrhill Wood in Dalbeattie to seek out as many small hills and depressions as possible in a designated area.
This year's competition was restricted to club members because of COVID but there was still a good number of runners taking the opportunity to get out in the woodland on a bright, cold, perfect day for running to test the O'Donoghues' puzzles.
