Still time to catch brick ocean trail

The BrickLive Ocean tour, launched by Go Forth Stirling BID, features fish, crabs, squid, turtles, sharks and other creatures built from more than 300,000 colourful toy bricks

Residents and visitors have been entertained by the free Ocean tour during the Easter school holidays and there is still time to experience the trail which runs until Sunday, April 21.

The BID has also organised an interactive game which participants can download via an app and dive beneath the waves to join Shelly Shark on her first migration while discovering all the BRICKLIVE sea models.

Children can also enjoy a trip to the brick pit at the Thistles to play and create new models while there is the opportunity to win an Ocean-themed LEGO bundle worth £200 by sharing those creations on social media using the hashtag #BrickliveStirling.

Meanwhile, there are a number of oceanthemed events and activities hosted by city centre businesses to enjoy including film screenings, face painting, board game nights and arts and crafts sessions.

Danielle McRorie-Smith, project director at Go Forth Stirling, said: "It's been wonderful to see families enjoying the vibrant Ocean Trail which has been a hit with people of all ages - not just children.

"The larger models in the Thistles, which include a green sea turtle, mako shark and octopus, have been extremely popular and participants have also been visiting the shops and cafes which house smaller models such as parrot fish, baby turtles, starfish, jellyfish and a coral reef.
