Terriers are Lion tamers to secure vital victory

The Terriers' striker netted in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give his side's Championship survival hopes a significant boost, while the Lions were dragged closer to the relegation trapdoor with their defeat

The victory moves Town out of the relegation zone and up to fourth from bottom in the table and onto 43 points from 41 matches played, with Birmingham

City dropping below the dotted line with five games of the season remaining. Millwall remain fifth from bottom, now just one point above the Terriers and two ahead of the Blues.

The result also ended a sixmatch winless streak for the Terriers, with Town registering their second victory since Andre Breitenreiter took charge.

Town's boss opted to make three changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Stoke City on Easter Monday. Ben Jackson, Josh Koroma and Delano Burgzorg came into the team for Jaheim Headley, Pat Jones and Jack Rudoni, the latter missing out through injury.

Ollie Turton was also named on the bench following his longterm knee injury.

Millwall boss Neil Harris also made three alterations from his side's 2-1 defeat at bottom side Rotherham United, as Danny McNamara, Ryan Longman and Billy Mitchell were brought into the team for Murray Wallace, Duncan Watmore and Casper De Norre.

Both sides had a chance apiece in the opening few minutes, as Burgzorg forced Matija Sarkic into a low save, before Mitchell also had a low effort at the other end that was held by Lee Nicholls.

The Lions were next to go close 13 minutes in. Longman sent in a dangerous cross from the right that found the arriving George Honeyman, but the midfielder could only divert the ball over the bar from close range.

The two teams struggled for the following period, with the windy conditions making it difficult for either side to retain possession, but chances began to flow from the half-hour mark.

Radulovic sent a header from Sorba Thomas' corner off target before Josh Koroma had a shot blocked from the left-hand side of the box soon after.

Town went on to have a flurry of corners in quick succession but couldn't make them count, with Radulovic unable to connect cleanly with a strike from one, while Sarkic beat away another delivery from Thomas.

The Lions went onto create two excellent chances from successive corners themselves. The first was recycled and found Michael Obafemi, whose volley was blocked by Alex Matos from close range, before Jake Cooper somehow headed over at the back post from just a couple of yards out from...
