THE ENGLISH JUDGE
Last December's Hamlyn Lectures on
"The
English Judge" were
given by Henry Cecil, the pen-name of His Honour H. C. Leon,
M.C., until recently a County Court judge.
Mr. Leon is an ardent campaigner for better conditions of
service for the police
and
his helpfulness to the service has been
practically demonstrated by his lectures to the Inspectors' courses
at the Police College, Bramshill, for many years past.
This is the 22nd series of these famous legal lectures. Mr. Leon's
contribution is published by Allan Appleby, Stevens and Sons
Ltd., in book form, at 35s. net.
