The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 4(5) of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 19851, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to make the following Order:

1. This order may be cited as the Films Co-Production Agreements (Amendment) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 16th February 2011.

S-2 Amendment to the Films Co-Production Agreements Order 1985

2. The Films Co-Production Agreements Order 19852shall be amended as follows—

(a) in article 2, after “and” add “the international organisations, authorities or”,

(b) by substituting for the schedule the following–

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

Paragraph 4(5) of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985 provides that Her Majesty may by Order in Council provide for films to be treated as British films for the purposes of that schedule if they are made in accordance with the terms of any agreement between Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom and any other government, international organisation or authority. This Order amends the Films Co-Production Agreements Order 1985 (“the principal Order”) so that, in addition to agreements between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Governments of other countries, the principal Order refers to agreements between the Government of the United Kingdom and international...
