Tommy Fleetwood shows true colours with incredible caddie gesture

But a busy schedule – which included a career-best third-place finish at The Masters earlier this month and a tough week at the RBC Heritage last time out – has not got in the way of Fleetwood going the extra mile to support his loved ones.

Fleetwood is on the bag for stepson Oscar Craig for the UAE Challenge at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi this week, as the 17-year-old amateur tries to follow in the world number 11's footsteps.

Fleetwood earned his way onto the PGA Tour by winning the Challenge Tour's Kazakhstan Open in 2011 and is sharing his wisdom with Craig – the number 429 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking – on course this week.

Craig, one of two children from Fleetwood's wife Clare's previous marriage, made an impressive start in the UAE, where the family is based. The youngster carded a bogey-free round of three-under-par, sitting four shots off the lead.

It continued Craig's good form after he claimed victory at the Ras Al Khaimah Men's Open in February, where he recovered from a difficult opening round to take a one-shot victory.
