Town prepare for action now window's open

The club have already announced their summer retained list and revealed their first signing of the summer, but there is sure to be plenty more dealing to be done ahead of the early start to the season at the end of July and on through August before deadline day on Setpember 1

¦What transfer business have Huddersfield Town done so far? THE retained list was the club's first order of business as they confirmed that six first-team squad players will be released at the end of their contracts on June 30: Jamal Blackman, Reece Brown, Fraizer Campbell, Carel Eiting, Naby Sarr and Alex Vallejo.

On top of that, loanees Tino Anjorin and Levi Colwill will head back to Chelsea and Danel Sinani will return to Norwich City. The club announced at the same time that they have opted to trigger one-year extensions for Josh Koroma and Harry Toffolo amid ongoing talks over longer contracts.

Will Boyle was last week confirmed as the Terriers' first signing of the summer, with the Cheltenham Town captain agreeing to move to the John Smith's Stadium when his deal in Gloucestershire comes to an end at the end of this month.

The 26-year-old centre-back is a Terriers academy graduate but has been away from the club since completing a permanent transfer to the Robins in January 2017.

Striker Kian Harratt has joined League Two Bradford City on loan for next season after spending the second half of the last campaign in the same division with Port Vale, scoring in the play-off final to help them win promotion to League One.

¦Who has been linked with moves to Town?

PROMISING Manchester City midfielder James McAtee was one of the first names to emerge this summer. There have been reports the Terriers were set to rival Swansea City for a loan move for the 19-year-old, who made his Premier League debut last season and has been accelerated into the England Under-21 set-up in the last week.

Solihull Moors' Kyle Hudlin has been connected with a move, with Town believed to be close to signing the 6'9" 21-year-old.

The striker has not previously played above non-league level but the club have a good record for recruiting from the National League.
