Town have completed one signing so for this summer and still have work to do, so they run through each position in turn to discuss how well-stocked the club are already and what work still needs to be done - including sorting out those new contracts for Harry Toffolo and Josh Koroma

CHICKEN: There's Harry Toffolo's contract situation, which I think we've almost shied away from talking about it at times. But we're now approaching July and there's been no real resolution on it. They've triggered his one year extension and I think everyone would like to get a long-term deal done, but it seems like there is a bit of a gap in the negotiations, they seem to have reached a bit of an impasse there on whatever detail it is, and you presume it's going to be monetary.

I don't think it necessarily gives them a decision to make this summer because I think Town will be quite comfortable with the idea that they are either going to get a transfer fee for him this summer (or in January), or they've got a year to try and find a replacement. HARTRICK: I think Harry Toffolo's worth to Huddersfield Town is not just measured in playing time, that's the issue. I have said jokingly he is the man you get to do all the things Jonathan Hogg refuses to, and he is a leader at that club on and off the pitch.

It's a real tricky situation because you can totally see the sense from both sides.

You can see Toffolo's point that he wants to be paid a level of money he feels is suitable for the amount of work he puts in, while Huddersfield Town don't want to break their wage structure for him, and I completely get that too.

Do you let him play and run that contract down for a year, knowing Harry Toffolo's character - and let's be honest, realistically Toffolo's levels won't drop because he's just not that sort of 'down tools' player, so you can trust him for the season is what I mean.
