With second-placed Newcastle Chemfica losing narrowly, 2-1, at Ponteland United, AFC Newbiggin closed the gap on them, strengthening third, with a 3-1 win away to a beleaguered Alnwick Town; Chemfica led at the break but conceded two, very late goals, Mason Stephenson with a 96th-minute winner to break hearts, whilst Alnwick's promotion hopes took another hit as Bradley Higgins' brace gave the 'Biggin a huge victory as both look for a high finish.

Newcastle Independent won 201 at home to a battle-hardened Stobswood Welfare, Harvey Walsh and Nathaniel Price with the hosts' goals in the opening twenty minutes, Max Anderson pulling one back early in the second period, whilst Burradon & New Fordley lost a stoppage-time penalty from Daniel Dunbar when at Hebburn Town Reserves.

Other results in the Premier Division saw Gateshead Rutherford win 4-0 at home to Seaton Delaval, and Haltwhistle Jubilee won 4-2 against visitors Killingworth.
