Train spotters armed with cameras and phones gathered on Platform 8 for the arrival of Braunton, a Southern Railway West Country steam locomotive built in 1946. It was later restored and the loco returned to steam in 2007 for the first time in 42 years

On Wednesday this week it passed through

Huddersfield as part of a White Rose excursion, organised by Saphos Trains, between Hereford and York.

A number of train fans were on Platform 8 at Huddersfield to capture it passing through including Nathan Webster and his dad David, from Honley, near Holmfirth, who got footage for their YouTube channel which is called GB Rail Fan. The channel can be found at www.youtube.com/@gb.railfan.

Just seconds before the loco arrived, a voice on their video can be heard saying: "He's going for it - bloody hell."
