A two-day heatwave is set to hit the country which could see parts of the south reach temperatures hotter than Portugal, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Cyprus. Friday could end up being the hottest day in June since records began

Although, in Yorkshire, temperatures are set to be slightly "cooler".

The Met Office forecast predicts around 27C for Huddersfield and Bradford on Friday and 28C for York, Leeds and Sheffield - here's exactly how hot it will get in every part of Yorkshire this week.

Temperatures in Huddersfield are expected to reach 22C today, 27C tomorrow then drop to 17C on Saturday when cloud is expected to return.

Bradford can expect similar temperatures as the Met Office says today will also reach 22C, tomorrow will see temperatures of 27C - again it will plummet to 17C on Saturday.

York is set to be a scorcher during the two-day heatwave across the country with temperatures of 28C tomorrow.

The city will see temperatures of 23C today, the heat will drop to 17C on Saturday. Sheffield can expect similar weather to York this week seeing temperatures of 23C today, reaching 28C tomorrow and dropping to 17C on Saturday.
