We want rovers to return to our new bar

Chris Ashley and Jacqui Baker opened The Sip in Honley a week ago and say they have been given a 'fantastic' level of support from local residents

The new premises, in Concorde Street, aims to be family-friendly as well as dog-friendly, with muddy paws not a problem.

The bar is serving breakfasts as well as lunches and dinners, with a range of drinks, from cask beer to coffee. There will be a range of guest beers as well as an everchanging menu provided by different vendors.

Chef Nathan Anerville is in charge of the breakfast menu. The venue has enough room to seat 80 people.

Chris said: "The support from the local community has been fantastic. The opening weekend was amazing."

Jacqui added: "Everyone has been amazing. People were saying they were happy to see us open and it's just what Honley needed."

The aim is for the bar to be a 'coffee shop' as well as a place to grab a beer and something to eat, including takeaway food.

The venue is over two floors and is set to include a 'vinyl room' where customers...
