Whereas it appears to the National Assembly for Wales that the persons referred to in the Schedule to this Order are persons exercising functions of a public nature;
Now therefore the National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by section 6(1) of the Welsh Language Act 1993 and now vested in the National Assembly, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Welsh Language Schemes (Public Bodies) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1 August 2001.
