Worldwide PMC Sdn. Bhd. (WPMC) announced on Monday that it has granted AFRY (STO:AFRY), a Swedish supplier of engineering, design, and advisory services, a contract for owner's engineering services in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia, for a waste-to-energy (WtE) project aimed at enhancing sustainable municipal waste management.
This state-of-the-art WtE facility will recover value from residual waste, reducing landfill waste and methane emissions.
The Jeram WtE project will build a 2,700-ton-per-day plant, generating up to 52 MW of electricity for national grid export.
