Swedish electrofuel developer Liquid Wind has chosen AFRY AB (STO:AFRY), a Swedish supplier of engineering, design, and advisory services, as its engineering partner for the third electrofuel facility in Umeå, Sweden.
AFRY previously handled basic engineering for Liquid Wind's second electrofuel facility, FlagshipTWO in Sundsvall.
Liquid Wind's goal is to supply green electrofuel to the marine shipping industry through large-scale production. They are now collaborating with Umeå Energi to establish FlagshipTHREE, capable of providing 100,000 tons of fossil-free fuel annually and capturing 230,000 tons of CO2 yearly, resulting in a 40%...
