Norway-based carbon capture company Aker Carbon Capture (OSE:ACC) said on Wednesday that it has received a contract to conduct a feasibility study for the implementation of carbon capture technology at a biomass combined heat and power (CHP) facility in Germany.

The planned carbon capture capacity for this project is set at 250,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. Aker Carbon Capture intends to employ its standardized Just Catch modular product for the project.

The study's scope will encompass the optimal CO2 capture, conditioning, liquefaction and temporary storage facility, as well as exploring heat recovery potential and heat integration solutions. This holistic approach aims to reduce the overall energy demands associated with CO2 capture and conditioning.
