Norway-based carbon capture company Aker Carbon Capture (OSE:ACC) said on Wednesday that it will conduct a feasibility study to implement carbon capture technology at a waste-to-energy facility in France.

Featuring two Just Catch 100 carbon capture units, the planned capture capacity will be approximately 200,000 tonnes CO2 per year.

So far this year Aker Carbon Capture has engaged in a series of contracted studies, Mobile Test Unit campaigns and pre-front-end engineering designs (FEEDs), collectively contributing to a combined capture capacity of 8.7 million tonnes of CO2 per year.

France unveiled its CCUS Strategy earlier this year, aligning with the government's commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
