Altia Oyj (HEL:ALIA), a Nordic alcoholic beverage company operating in the wines and spirits markets in the Nordic countries, Estonia and Latvia. announced on Friday the lowering of its guidance for 2018 comparable EBITDA and now estimates that its comparable EBITDA will be below last year's level. The comparable EBITDA for 2017 was EUR42.4m.
This compares with the prior guidance of comparable EBITDA expected to improve or be at the 2017 level.
According to the company, underlying sales is developing according to expectations. However, the challenging operating environment has put some additional pressure on Altia's fourth quarter 2018 and has impacted profitability more than anticipated.
