American baffled why Brits have garages in 'living room' and park in garden

Ands so it transpired for one American living in the UK who has become baffled by some of the UK's strangest things. The visitor's list starts with why we put trees in tiny metal 'cages' and the reason why some of our supermarkets have clock towers

The Daily Star reports how each time the spot something that fails to make sense, they post it to TikTok - so Brits can give their reaction to it. In one of their most recent viral clips - notching up 103,000 views - the American was strolling along a street when something stopped them in their stride.

They questioned: "Why do British people build garages in their living rooms but park in their front yards, it's so strange?"

In true British fashion, many people fled to the comments to poke fun at the American for wondering what goes on behind the garage door.

One person giggled: "We store all our tea in there obviously."
