Aramco, a Saudi Arabia-based integrated energy and chemicals company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a strategic minority share in MidOcean Energy, a US-based LNG company formed and managed by EIG.
The deal is valued at USD500m. Completion of the deal is pending closing conditions that include regulatory approvals. Aramco also has the option to raise its shareholding and associated rights in MidOcean Energy in the future.
