Video of Thomas Hughes and Emma Tustin show them enjoying a treat without a care in the world as Hughes's son Arthur Labinjo-Hughes is made to stand alone for up to 14 hours a day in apparent punishment for minor misdemeanours.

In the footage, Hughes walks into the lounge where Tustin is lying on the settee of her home in Cranmore Road, Shirley, during the heatwave of June 2020.

He has just bought the treats from a passing ice cream van in shorts and would have strolled past his hungry son to reach his lover.

Hughes, 29, hands her an ice cream and sits down as Tustin, 32, props her feet and bare tattooed legs on this thighs, inches from his face.

Arthur was routinely beaten, isolated, starved, force-fed salt laced meals, dehydrated and made to stand up all day before being made to sleep on the living room floor.

It was recorded by the same camera which sealed their fate as it detailed their monstrous treatment of Arthur, who was fatally injured by Tustin on June 16 and left with an unsurvivable brain injury.

In other videos and audio, the tortured child could be heard saying 'no-one is going to feed me' seven times in 44 seconds and 'no-one loves me' four times.

Tustin also tucks into two McDonalds Happy Meals using a toy as a table.

Tustin is now serving a life sentence of at least 29 years for Arthur's murder while...
