AutoNation Inc. (NYSE: AN), a United States-based automotive retailer, has named Thomas J Baltimore, Jr. and Steven L. Gerard as its directors.

Baltimore has been the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Park Hotels & Resorts Inc since January 2017. Between May 2016 and January 2017, he was the president and chief executive officer of the planned Hilton Real Estate Investment Trust. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of RLJ Lodging Trust, an NYSE-listed real estate investment company, from May 2011 to May 2016. He served as co-founder and president of RLJ Development LLC, RLJ Lodging's predecessor company, from 2000 to May 2011. He served in various management positions with Hilton Hotels Corporation and Host Marriott Services between 1994 and 2000. He also serves as lead independent director of Prudential Financial Inc.
