Boozy Scottish football fans set off flares as police struggle to control London's streets

Despite police issuing a dispersal order fans flocked to Leicester Square and Hyde Park, with as many as 20,000 Scottish fans travelling to London for the game over the last few days.

The foul weather of the last couple of days has put no dampener on the attitude of the Scottish fans who seemed to revel in the driving rain.

Among the antics from fans today Friday June 18 there have been flares lit in Leicester Square as well as fans paddling in the fountain, also filling it with washing up liquid to get some bubbles going.

Choruses of "Yes sir, I can boogie" could be heard along with the partying, the song became an unofficial anthem for fans after Scotland qualified for the Euros.

The atmosphere was largely jovial save for a few isolated incidents and there were a few friendly stand-offs between fans of the two nations chanting back and forth.
