Boy, 17, in hospital after being stabbed in stomach in Newham

The Metropolitan police were called just after 3pm to reports of an assault in Newham. They found a 17-year-old boy with a stab injury to his abdomen on the scene in Forest Gate

The incident took place on Henderson Road, at the junction with Katherine Road. The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for the force said: "His injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening and non-life changing. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."

A spokesperson for LAS added: "We were called at 2:51 yesterday afternoon April 7 to reports of a stabbing on Sherrard Road, E7.
