The California Energy Commission (CEC) has proposed an award of USD1,910,703 to Nuvve Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: NVVE), a company that deals with vehicle-to-grid technology and deployments, under the CEC's Electric School Bus Bi-Directional Infrastructure funding opportunity.
The proceeds are to be used for the company's groundbreaking project, RESCHOOL: Resilient Energy Solutions for Schools, which is aimed at demonstrating the transformative potential of electric school buses (ESBs) and bi-directional charging infrastructure to improve the resilience of California's power grid.
