Car smashes into sign on busy Scottish road as cops race to the incident

According to the Daily Record, two vehicles had been involved in the smash. However, the details on how it occurred have not yet been disclosed by police

Cops partially closed the notorious A915 as they attended to the incident. An image that surfaced online showed one of the vehicles had ploughed into a road sign.

The turquoise vehicle was heavily damaged from the crash but the condition of the other vehicle, and the occupants of each, is still unknown.

Standing Stane Road is one of Fife's accident blackspots. The council sought to reduce the number of collisions on the five-and-a-half mile-long road earlier this year by introducing warning signs at its junctions.

A Police Scotland spokesperson was unable to provide details of any injuries.
