Retailing company Clas Ohlsons AB (STO:CLASB) on Wednesday reported profit after tax of SEK283m, or EPS of SEK4.47, for the third quarter of 2019/20, from 1 November 2019 to 31 January 2020.

This was an increase over profit after tax of SEK79m, or EPS of SEK1.24, in the third quarter of 2018/19.

Total sales for the quarter were SEK2,905m, flat as compared with SEK2,915m in Q3 of the prior year. Sales were flat organically too. Online sales for the quarter increased by 19% to SEK177m, as compared with SEK148m in Q3 2018/19.

Sales in the Nordics for the third quarter increased by 2% to SEK2,883m, as compared with SEK2,823m a year ago, with organic growth of 2%.

Also, the company announced contingency for the impact of Coronavirus and macro consequences, as it is exposed in different ways to some of the effects resulting from the virus.
