Confused Edinburgh man spots 'light orbs' floating in the sky near his home

The Edinburgh man, who wishes to remain anonymous, is not set on the lights being a visitor from another planet or universe, and instead is asking if anyone can identify the UFO

In the video shared exclusively with Edinburgh Live, a strange light can be seen flying through the sky in the early hours of the morning on Saturday June 11.

The man who captured the video said: "I would like to help get to the bottom of what this is as there seem to be loads of reports of the same thing in the skies above Leith recently.

"I found a lot of reports on the internet that seem to be the same thing.

"I wouldn't rule out UFO's but I do find it strange that if extraterrestrial life had made it here then why wouldn't we have more compelling evidence of it to date?

"So I do think that given these light orbs that float across the sky have been seen by so many people, and even captured on video, there might also be some other explanation?

"I do think this is fascinating and would love to understand what is at play here."

Earlier this month Live reported that Jeanette Cousland, who lives by the shore in Leith, had captured footage of a strange light "floating" and "spinning" in the skies on June 13 at around 01:48am.

She said that she was extremely intrigued to find out what the UFO was and added that it seemed to be "happening about every night."

At first she thought it may have been Saturn passing as it was due to be visible in early June but later decided that it could not be due to the speed at which it was travelling and the time she captured her video.
