Cool Edinburgh pizzeria to give out free slices to struggling locals every week

Every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm, Pizza Geeks will be handing out mouth-watering pizza slices to anyone who will benefit from a freshly baked bite at their 19 Dalry Road restaurant

Called "Pizza for the People", the initiative started back in 2018, and the restaurant has since given away 23,805 pizzas to the struggling and disadvantaged members of the local community.

Patrick Ward and Finlay Clarkson, Co-Founders of Pizza Geeks, said: "With the cost of living crisis causing so many worries for people all over the country, we feel now is a good time to do so.

"Community slice is for anyone who could use one, so please, if you know anyone who is struggling at this time, let them know, and hopefully, pizza geeks can help a little bit."

Starting with one day a week, the much-loved Italian dining spot hopes to extend its initiative beyond weekly drops and introduce it to their latest restaurant in Leith, too.
