DeepStar, a global offshore research and development consortium, has awarded the new phase of the Magnetic Drive System project to Upwing Energy, a subsidiary of Calnetix Technologies LLC, and Japan-based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
The new phase is based on the completion of a design study in 2019 and will include the design, build and test of enabling technologies that support Upwing's MDS concept for Electric Submersible Pump.
