Finnish telecommunications company DNA Oyj (HEL:DNA) announced on Monday that the shareholders' nomination committee has submitted a proposal regarding board members and their remuneration to DNA's Annual General Meeting, scheduled to take place on 28 March 2019.

Under this proposal, the shareholders' nomination committee has proposed to the Annual General Meeting of DNA that the number of board members be seven.

Re-election of the current board members Pertti Korhonen, Anu Nissinen, Tero Ojanpera, Jukka Ottela and Kirsi Sormunen, has been proposed, with Korhonen proposed to continue as the chairman of the board of directors.

Also, the nomination committee has proposed that Anni Ronkainen and Ted Roberts be elected to the board of directors as new members. Reportedly, all persons proposed to be nominated to the board have given their consent to being nominated.

Ronkainen has worked as the chief digital officer of Kesko Corporation since 2015. Prior to that, she was the country manager of Google Finland Ltd. Ronkainen is independent of the company and major shareholders.

Also, Roberts is the CEO of Realstocks Oy and board member of Finda Telecoms Oy. He has experience from the financial sector with international banks and investment activities, amongst others, as well as an equity analyst. Roberts is independent of the company, non-independent of major shareholders.
