Drumpellier lose in'cliffhanger'clash

Drumpellier had started off well after winning the toss and decided to bowl first, with A Ahmed bowled by Darren Pryde in the first over and soon it was 11-2 in the fifth over when P Flannigan was run by Nick Austin afer a mix up

After this Kilmarnock progessed slowly with 18 runs in 9 overs before A R Muzzammil was clean bowled byW Leslie to leave Kilmarnock 24-3 in the 15th over.

A creative partnership between N Khan and S B Lombard before N Khan was bowled for 42, had Kilmarnock 65-4.

From there the Drumpellier's bowling took over and runs were in short supply as the wickets started to tumble.

It was soon 70-5 when A Smith was bowled by S Jayathilake for 2 and then it was 77-6 when S B Lombard was caught at mid wicket byW Leslie off the bowling of S Jayathilake.

A little partnership of 10 was recorded before N Ali went and in the next six runs T McFadzean andT Farroq were back in the pavilion. Kilmarnock had lost five wickets for 23 runs to leave them 91-9 and they were soon all out for 99 with S Jayathilake taking 4-14 in 9 overs.

A target of 100 in 50 overs should of been a breeze but soon found R Heginbottom, N Austin and UW Mugal were all out for ducks, leaving Drumpelier 10-3.
