East Lothian dad helps mother duck and ducklings to safety of River Esk

Krzysztof Sieniuc, 39, is a Polish dad who works for Lothian buses in East Lothian, and stopped to help the mother duck and her ten ducklings get to the River Esk

The kind hearted man, who is also behind a drive to support Ukrainians fleeing war, said that he felt it was only right to help the little birds along considering the damage that people are doing to the environment.

In the video shared with Edinburgh Live, the mother duck and her chicks can be seen scampering along the pavement.

Images also show the birds crossing the roads as they try to navigate their way back to the safe waters of the River Esk.

On his good natured deed, Krzysztof said: "I was walking home to Mansfield Road when I turned into my street where my brother in law pointed out to me that there was a duck family on the road.

"I was on my break so I decided that the extra walk with the ducks to the river wouldn't impact me...
