East Lothian is set for dinosaur invasion for a new Jurassic Encounter event

The sell-out touring event, Jurassic Encounter, is coming to Musselburgh on July 2 and will feature over 50 animatronic dinosaur statues - including two life-sized T-Rex beasts, which roar and snarl at passers-by

Offering an unforgettable experience for the youngsters and a fun bonding time for the whole family, the event also aims to inform and educate visitors about what might easily be the most fascinating time in our planet's history.

There will be information boards, screens featuring documentaries and animations showing dinosaurs going about their daily routine, and even a sand pit where young explorers could try on an archaeologist's role excavating for fossils and dinosaurs skeletons.

A VR portal into the Jurassic world will open for the bravest visitors. Food, refreshments and memorable souvenirs will also be available on the route as you roam the park looking for the ancient...
