But brother Tommy has posted a message of overwhelming support onto the star's social media, as he keeps track of the stars Instagram and Twitter as he appears on Love Island. Tommy posted a photo of the pair on a holiday, and wrote: "HQ: Jay is always honest and upfront about his feelings.

As his brother, I am proud of how he handled the conversations with both Ekin-Su and Jacques last night. All his family and friends know he is looking to find real love in the villa. Being true to himself is one of his greatest attributes. Proud of you brother, Tommy."

Fans of Jay flooded the comments with similar messages of support. One Instagram user said: "backing Jay 100 staying true to him i really hope he finds love in the there he's such a sweet guy that deserves it."
