EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt has fans in stitches with latest post featuring his newest pet

But recently his travelling had to come to an end as rehearsals began for his newest project, and it seems as though his favourite travel companion has been helping out with his acting now too.

The Ian Beale star's latest post on Instagram to his 62,000 loyal followers had many of them in stitches as he showed off how his pet duck Virgil Van Duck has been assisting with rehearsals for his new play Looking Good Dead as it nears its planned opening.

In the picture Virgil, who has accompanied Adam across the country wearing his eye-catching spiked helmet, is seen for the first time without his helmet, and with a stopwatch as he seemingly times Adam and his cast-mates' rehearsal.

For those not in the know, Virgil is named after Liverpool football star Virgil Van Dijk, owing to Adam's support for the reds.

In the caption for the post Adam joked about Virgil's 'new role' as assistant stage manager: "Our new ASM…

"@virgil_van_duck helping out with rehearsal timings for @peterjamesonstage".

The caption also revealing that Virgil now has his very own Instagram account here if you fancied keeping up with his rubbery antics.
