EastEnders' Max Branning buries 'weapon' but viewers think he isn't Ian Beale's attacker

During the EastEnders episode on Monday December 21 Max was seen digging a hole in the allotment.

Acting rather suspicious, Max who is currently having an affair with Linda Carter pulled out a black plastic bag and unwrapped something from a piece of fabric.

Wearing black leather gloves, he then clutched onto the Lucy Beale award, which was missing a piece of blue glass, and placed it in the muddy hole.

He then buried the award in hopes it will not be found.

Earlier in the episode, Jack Branning confirmed that police had found evidence suggesting Ian had been struck with blue glass and he needed to find the weapon.

But is all what it seems Did Max really want to murder Ian Beale Some EastEnders viewers think he's not the attacker.

Taking to Twitter viewers of the BBC soap said Max's behaviour was a red herring and he isn't the person who attacked Ian.

One person questioned: "It can't be Max can it Whoever it is, is sending bullets as a warning to Ian...
