A top watchdog at the ECB has opined that a merged German bank should be 'resolvable,' meaning it should have structures for easy wind-down in case of a crisis.

Andrea Enria made the comment with regard to the potential merger between Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB) and Commerzbank (CBK:Xetra). The new entity that is formed from the merger should have extra capital and a legal structure that would allow its safe wind-down in case it collapses, Enria said.
