Edinburgh Airport pilot spotted helping staff load passengers bags onto flight

Getting ready to take off from the capital, the man was filmed by an individual on board as he got stuck in to the mound of bags waiting to be loaded onto the flight

Working for Edelweiss Air, the pilot seemed to be in good spirits as he lifted the cases from the trolley onto the conveyer belt that took them inside the plane.

Posting the video online, one passenger joked how the pilot had a "can do attitude" as they waited to take off from Edinburgh, reports the Mirror.

The clip comes as hundreds of passengers across the UK have experienced different kinds of travel disruption as airlines have struggled to cope with the rise in demand.

Airports across the country have advised customers to allow for extra time to move through check-in and security queues, with many flights also facing cancellations.

Last week, the Mirror reported how easyJet passenger David Benjamin was left furious after his luggage appeared ripped to shreds, with his belongings inside damaged beyond repair.

And a couple who enjoyed a trip to Lanzarote to celebrate the imminent arrival of their first child were left fuming when their TUI flight home was cancelled.
